Jimtown High School
Mishawaka High School
It was a cold windy night with a threat of rain. The best thing that evening was to finish and get out of the cold. We have a new way of judging the team’s performance by how many chili cheese dogs they can eat when they finish their round. Broc was in the lead with 5 followed by “Bubba” with 4. They said they could eat more but felt sorry for their teammates who were still on the course and hadn’t finished their round yet so they stopped but they did take extra large helpings of the puppy chow. Besides the food, the Jimmie golfers did manage to beat Mishawaka by a score of 186 to 254. Tyler “Bubba” Wenger was the Medalist with a 45, Broc Maurer also had a 45 . Hunter Price shot a 47 followed by Austin Secor’s 49. Finishing the Varsity scoring was Jeff Payne with a 52. The varsity record is now 8 wins and 5 losses.
Ryan Mott was our 6th golfer so his score of 38 didn’t count. This was his best score so far. He had 2 birdies and on the 5 hole his drive landed less than a foot from the pin. He said he would have preferred a hole in 1 to a birdie. The Jimmies next match is Thursday and it is a conference match against Triton and Knox at Mystic Hills Golf Course.
