Girls Varsity Competitive Cheer · Jimtown Cheerleaders to compete at Lucas Oil Stadium


awards    This Saturday, (October 31st) the Jimtown Competition Cheer Squad will compete at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the IASP State Championships!!

There are 17 teams that stuntwill compete in the Varsity “C” division on Saturday.   Class C represents schools that are between 501-1000 students.  The prelims are in the morning on Saturday.  If the girls are able to get in the top 5 out of the 17 team field, they will qualify for the final round Saturday night at Lucas Oil to go for the championship.

The girls haveSeniors been working VERY hard all summer and fall with choreography, dance moves, tumbling, lifts and overall athletic skills.  If you have ever seen a cheerleader competition you know how athletic the top teams are.  Its music, movement, flips, speed and choreographic perfection that sets the best teams apart.   The Jimtown squad has been getting better and better as the season has progressed.  They took 3rd place at the Bishop Dwenger Fall Classic in Fort Wayne earlier this fall to get them ready for this big moment.

Seniors on the squad are: Megan Gallegos and Cheyenne Jacobs

Juniors on the squad are:  AFull Teamlly Davis, Leah Fager, Sam Rager, Hope Gores, Jhonna Harper and Abby Genovese.

Sophomores on the squad are:  Taylor DeBroka, Riley Dowdy, and Rose Moreland

Freshmen on the squad are:  Christa Smith, and Cassidy Stose

 

We wish the girls good luck and hope that all of Baugo can keep a good thought for the girls as they travel to Indy this Halloween Saturday.  Needle
