Meet Recap

The Jimtown boys track team won the first ever Falcon Invitational at John Glenn amassing 143 points.

Kenny Kerrn and Jake Vicsik each won two individual events in leading the team to victory. Kenny won both hurdle events while Jake won both long distance events. Sam Pawlak rounded out the Jimmie who took home blue ribbons easily taking the high jump.

Many other Jimmies had outstanding performances. Freshman Alex Hohl place second in the high hurdles and third in the intermediates. Dalton Whitman placed second in shot put and 6th in discus. Aaron Reverman took third in his first pole vault competition while placing 5th in high jump. Brian Hernandez and Clay Landis were 2nd and 5th respectively in the 800 meter run. Brandon Burkhart and Matt DeCloedt were 3rd and 6th in the 400 meter dash, while Brandon teamed up with Max Magyar to take 7th and 8th in the 200. Max was also an impressive 3rd in the 100 dash. McCartney Ryker took 6th in the shot put. Dylan Runyan took 5th place in pole vault. Max, Kenny, Alex and Savon Gillespie were 4th in the 400 Relay. Brandon, Matt, Jared Lyle, and Clay took 3rd in the 1600 Relay. Clay, Brian, Jared and Bryce Track took third in the 3200 meter relay.

It was an overall team victory and everyone was thrilled to take home the championship plaque.
