Meet Recap

The boys track team had an outstanding night at the Northern Indiana Conference meet featuring many season and career bests. Though the 6th place team finish was a little disappointing, the overall performances were anything but.

Sam Pawlak broke his own high jump record going 6′ 6″. He took second place though he jumped the same height as the winner, but had one more miss on the way up. Kenny Kerrn is as close to breaking a school record as you can get. In placing second in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles, Kenny ran a 41.01, one one hundreth off the record.

One of the most impressive improvements came form the 10th seeded 3200 relay team which improved its time by 15 seconds and placed 6th. The 3200 relay team consists of: Nathan Hochstetler, Jared Lyle, Seth Grimm Matt DeCleodt. Members of the 400 relay–Brandon Burkhart, Michaael Williams, Kenny Kerrn and Dakotah Pratt– also had its best time and placed an impressive 5th.

Dalton Whitman was runner-up in shot put missing first by just 3 inches with a 44 – 3.5. Aaron Burnett was 3rd in long jump; Dakotah Pratt was 5th in the 100. Brandon Burkhart too 7th in the 200. Caaden Beck was 6th in high jump while Matt Decleodt was 6th in the 400. Alex Hohl was 8th in 110 high hurdles.
