Big Mike Laws has been involved in Jimtown Athletics for the better part of his life.

While participation in athletics has been a part of his life, Mike Laws sees athletic participation as a vehicle.  It is a vehicle that allows him to push himself, push others, set goals for achievement and provide constant leadership growth opportunities.  Mike is one of those young man that any coach, teacher or administrator LOVES to have be a part of their program(s).  This is because Mike is ALWAYS going to give his best.   Mike is NEVER going to embarrass you or your community.  Mike is always going to be a leader in our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Leadership.  You don’t even have to think about it, but we can NEVER take kids like Mike Laws for granted.   He is a poster child for the very thing that we strive for in education-based athletics and the epitome of the good things that can come for those that choose to stay engaged in their school, community and church.   Mike and his parents have been very supportive and at the forefront of the development of our NG-3 program at Jimtown.  The Laws’ have opened their home on several occasions over the course of the football and basketball seasons this year to provide a spot for NG-3 Huddle Groups to get together, and bond over lessons about God, life and how to be better human beings in their school, community and the world.

Thanks Mike!!   Thank you for being a good kid…a good teammate and an ambassador for God in a world that needs God more than ever.   Good luck in your time beyond Jimtown.    I know that you will be successful, because you have a foundation that is built on a Rock and not shifting sands.
