Jimtown High School

Monday night the Jimtown School Board approved our first girls' flag football coach; James Davis. Practice will start next week at the high school. An August practice schedule is attached to the article and the code to join is class code jimtownff. Below is an introduction to our new coach. My name is James Davis, and I am excited to join the Jimtown school community! I have a passion for working with students and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. I believe athletics provide an incredible opportunity to teach life lessons such as leadership, discipline, accountability, teamwork, and perseverance. As a former collegiate All-American wrestler, and Academic All-American student, I understand the dedication and hard work it takes to achieve success. My experiences as both a student-athlete and coach have shaped my belief that every student has the potential to succeed when they are given the right tools, guidance, encouragement, and someone who believes in them. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to coach wrestling, flag football, and baseball. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching has been helping athletes gain confidence, overcome challenges, and reach goals they never thought possible. I truly believe success looks different for every student, and my goal is to help each athlete become the best version of themselves. I am passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel challenged, supported, and valued. Whether we're developing athletic skills, building character, or celebrating personal growth, I want every student to know they are capable of achieving great things through hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude. I am excited to be a part of this school community and look forward to building relationships with students, families, and staff.
