Saturday we competed in sectionals at Ox Bow park. Our varsity came prepared and competed to the best of their abilities. For the first time in my coaching history we are advancing 3 runners to regionals at New Prairie on Saturday 10/25. Special congratulations to Mikayla Pratt, Cami Schwartz, and Jackson Woolwine on advancing as individuals to regionals! Boys: The Boys were led by Jackson Woolwine with a time of 17:40. We also had big PR's by Owen Marnell and Corbin Hanna taking 10+ seconds off their times. Girls: The girls were led by Cami Schwartz and followed closely by Mikayla Pratt. Both fighting through and advancing to Regionals. The girls team was struggling with injury and illness, however Mikayla Pratt and "Big time Bree" were able to PR in the race. Bree's first year running and still dropping her time taking a whole minute off of her PR. We were very satisfied with our improvements from the year. In the last 3 races of the year 16 of our 18 athletes that raced had a PR. This goes to show that their hard work is paying off! We will miss our seniors, and hope that they return to cheer us on in the future!
