Jimtown lost a conference game to Marian 24-7 Friday night. The Jimmies played the 8th ranked Knights to a 0-0 game late in the 2nd quarter until Marian broke open the scoring on a one-handed 56 yard TD with under 2 minutes left in the half.
Marian tacked on a 25 yard FG early in the 3rd quarter to expand their lead to 10-0, but the Jimmies responded on their next drive. Brandon Coble caught his first varsity TD on a 20 yard TD pass that pulled Jimtown within 10-7.
The Knights came back with a long drive and scored, but Trey Washington blocked the extra point, to make the game 16-7 heading into the 4th quarter. Marian then scored one more time to seal the game and got he 2 point conversion to make the final score 24-7.
The Jimmies are back at Knepp Field for Homecoming Night next Friday against rival Concord. Kickoff is at 7pm
