The Jimmies (3-4, 3-1 NIC South) needed this win in a big way. Inspired by a chance to give Head Coach Mike Campbell his 100th career victory, the Jimmies made a statement by dominating Riley 42-13.
Jimtown got off to a hot start with a TD from Trey Washington on the first drive to get the Jimmies on the board early. Then, a huge 2nd quarter by Jimtown really put the visiting Wildcats in a hole. A traditional Jimtown drive capped off by a Clay Campbell QB sneak increased the lead to 14-0, and then on the next drive Ethan Devol scampered 36 yards for a quick score. The 2nd quarter ended with a touchdown pass to Dustin Whitman to put the Jimmies up 28-6 at half. Cole Thompson and Oscar Zelaya added touchdowns in the second half to make the final score 42-13.
Jimtown is back in in action Friday night at Sharpe Stadium vs. Bremen for Senior night. Kickoff is 7pm
